I have known Ozy since a fantastic trip we (the BOC) did round Southern
Ireland in 2002 I think. He was funny, erudite and kind.
I had just had one leg amputated and the trip was a bit of a challenge for
me, but without the humour of Ozy, David Dale,
Snoring Norman and others I would have found the trip very daunting.
Geoffrey Herdiman organised the trip, the last one I have been able to
afford or have not been in hospital when it took place.
These people showed me what club Bristol was all about and were to coin a
phrase "Bristol Cream", to loose one through a rant and banter is sad.
We lost Philippa, a great addition, and far better looking than her car
(412) :-). This too was sad, she was a judge at last years BOC
Concours.
I admit that the number of emails was irritating, as you saw from my
comments, but never the less Ozy was a good contributor and
very knowledgeable about Bristol's et al. Perhaps a rein should have been
pulled quietly and gently instead of expulsion.
Could you please bring him back from the sin bin.
