Getting your car knowledge from Top Gear is the same as getting your knowledge of how people live in northern England from Coronation Street !
They are both very popular entertainment telly shows. Car manufacturers like product awareness. Top Gear is a safe bet in some ways , as if they love the car , great , but if they don't , their opinions are not worth much anyway.
