'400' Rubber jacking point covers
Gentlemen - can anyone suggest a supplier for a pair of the moulded rubber 'bungs' that cover the side jacking points in the running boards on the '400'.
Both of mine are very tired and one will probably disintegrate this summer. Thanks Marcus |
Rubber Bung
Try COH Baines or Seals Direct.

Thank you David but I have just received two 'not able to supply' from both of these specialists; are there any other suggestions out there........?

Rubber jacking point covers.
Marcus, have you tried cleaning up the ones you have? If they are not torn, you may be pleasantly surprised just how well rubber parts can be transformed by cleaning with a specialist rubber cleaner. I use Solvol Autosol Black cleaner and it is amazing how it lifts out the dirt, softens, lubricates and brings back the black colour. Magic stuff!
Even if they are split, they may be salvageable with judicious use of glue and the cleaning product. Kind regards, Chris. |
Thank you Chris for your fulsome and helpful reply, the contents of which I have noted.
Your suggestion is welcome as I have had no luck in sourcing a replacement pair and although one of mine has split badly, if I cannot find replacements, even used examples, I will have no choice but to try to refurbish. When I posted the thread, I rather assumed replacements were easy to source - not so! |
Marcus ,
I understand BODA now have the Jacking Point rubbers available If not I might have a spare set Geoff |
