Now I've got my 403 back from the trimmers, please find attached sketch. NOT TO SCALE. Each piece is of course x 2. Measurements are the best I can do without dismantling, bug should be close enough.
The two shorter pieces are the links between the seat back and the armrest. The two longer pieces screw to each side of the armrest. The "Stop" sits to the rear of each of these pieces, and prevents the armrest from opening too far when it's pulled out. Hope that helps. The finish on the pieces looks like a kind of bronze flavoured anodising. I have no idea if this was standard, or was changed depending on upholstery colour. It goes well with my light beige leather. Hi Mike
thanks very much for reply very helpful are the 2 connecting arms different length ??? one is 5 1/2" centers think the other ias shorter thanks william |
William
We may be saying the same thing - summary:- - I previously detailed the pair of 9 1/2" long pieces that screw either side of the armrest, and the pair of 6 1/2" pieces that form part of the mechanism. - In my haste (I was about to go away) I missed a pair of shorter pieces that complete the mechanism. These look exactly like the 6 1/2" pieces, but are 4 1/4" long with 2 holes at 3 1/2" centres. - note that dimensions are not wildly accurate as its impossible to get accurate dimensions without dismantling. I don't think 1/4" plus or minus will cause any problems. - so there are 3 pairs of pieces total. |
Hi Mike
Thanks for going the extra mile We now are very close to a working hinge Its quite simple if you have the dimensions Will post a picture when We Finnish seat thanks William |
