My father and I owned this car and stripped it for a rebuild.A new ash frame was built and we ran out of interest and sold it to Bristol cars. They rebuilt it and sold it but never gave us any photos or further info. I would like to speak/contact the owner. I can probably fill in some of the history for him.It was registered as CHU 406.

The current owner is in the owners club. I've sent a link to this thread to them.

I think I`ve missed the start of this thread. Clyde`s 406 is reg no 4545 WJ chassis 406/5259. P

He's not asking about Clyde's car, but the one-off 406SP, chassis 406SP1. It's a short-chassis car (but longer than a Zagato I think) built by Bristol, but did not make production.
