Bristol 401- early type

I am looking for a pair of rear wheel brake shoes. They seem to be unobtainable and, apparently, were unique to Bristol. Can anyone suggest a source or,perhaps, shoes that can be modofied?

Relining brake shoes

This is a common problem with older models and especially with trucks, as they last so long. There are shops that re-line any brake shoe, so you need to do a little research and find one of these specialists. Ask any competent garage for the name of a firm that does this. Good luck. Never dispair when it comes to old cars. There is always someone to give a hand.

If they are the same as 403 brake shoes Bristol's had a pair in stock at a very reasonable price. Also know of a reasonable reliner in Brentford if you are in London.
