Kelly ,
It is interesting learning about the various Arnolts in the previous posts.
But to answer your question what would a 400 be like in the MM,
My answer is I'd rather be in a 400 , not as quick and maybe not as exciting an initial experience , but after a few hundred miles any open car becomes tiring .
OR
am I just getting old.
I've happily driven my 400 up to 1000 kms (about 620 miles ) in one day without a problem on many occasions . They must have been outstanding ,as a touring car, in the late forties , when most cars were only capable of touring at 50 mph, a 400 was and is capable of 80 - 90 mph cruising all day and get 26 - 30 mpg.
I have never been on a MM but assume the 1000 miles is over 4 - 5 days so fatigue would not be a problem . But just wonder if there was 5 days of rain or temperatures up to 40 deg C , like we get in summer down under.
The MM in either car would be a great experience.
