409 SS trim
Hello,
How are the stainless steel trim pieces taken off the door and fenders? Thanks Anne |
409 stainless side trim
Start at one end, slip a piece of HDPE under the end. Use a
David broad blade screwdriver and gentle lever off at first clip. Continue along clip by clip. You can buy clip removal tools which are plastic |
Thank you,
Have tried a thin bladed knife to try and lift but ..nothing so far. What is HDPE ? Anne |
HDPE is High Density Polythene

Ok Thanks...will try again,

Anne, once you do get the trim off, would you please post a photo or two on here for the benefit of others who may be faced with the same task.
Being able to see what you are dealing with is often better than a description. |
I think you'll small nuts on the inside, possibly covered in a rubber seal coating. I found that was how the rear wing strips were fastened.

Ok the mouldings are off ! The first one took some doing and then once I figured it out the rest were a breeze.
Used a small penknife and work from under the moulding and pry upwards. Hope the upload on this site works...No I see that I can't upload pictures. Anne |
