A few comments and questions
1/ Where did you get the copy of the removal and replacement instructions 2/ Following those instructions no matter where I placed the master cylinder I could not remove the fulcrum pin that attaches to the pedal there is not enough space to move the pin sideways 3/ The range rover cylinder I purchased has two mounting hole the same as is shown on the 410 diagram . They are above and below the cylinder , There are 2 studs on the firewall which slip into the holes and 2 nuts secure it all. I had to make a plate with these studs attached and mount it on the cabin side of the firewall. Isnt this the way the series 5 mounts? |

Hi Peter,
To answer your questions: 1. The instructions are from the Bristol 411 Owners Manual 3. Sorry, my mistake! I had googled "Range Rover Classic brake master cylinder" and found this one https://goo.gl/images/5eXtwP , however the part number is slightly different to the one you gave me, which DOES look the same as the one on my 411. (see attached) |

According to Girling, this is the master cylinder they supplied to Bristol for the 411 (see attached image). Peter this looks very similar to your original one.
The Girling master cylinder part number 64068550 cross references to Chrysler UK part number 3058872. |
