1973 411 S3 Restoration..

2 Attachment(s)
Hi all,

last year i was lucky enough to buy a 1973 411s3 - NMP 83L which needs a fair bit of work to get her back to her former glory.

The car is now with my uncle in Stockbridge as he is going to try and get the car up and running and braking.

my first question is - do Bristol cars have key codes - like RR & Bentley ?
if they do how do i go about getting a new set of keys made up
or
if they don't how do i go about this problem ?

many thanks

HM

My 411 has 4 distinct keys - ignition, doors, boot and fuel cap.

My keys all have numbers on them, except the ignition key. The doors and boot keys are Wilmot Breeden/Union brand.

I assume one way of solving the problem is remove all the locks and take them to a locksmith to have keys made. But I imagine that would be quite expensive.

This looks useful British Car Keys

PS. My petrol cap lock has a Yale key.

This site also looks useful and they're in the UK https://www.arun-locks.co.uk/products-and-services/

My boot key is single sides and the # starts with FS.
The door key is double sided and starts with FT.
I forgot there's a glove box keys also, mine is single sided and starts wit FS.

Key

I ordered a key for my 603 based on the code NHxxxx and received a key from the following:
https://www.key2code.co.uk/store/c4/...AR_KEYS.html#/
Tested and works in the ignition.
Another Brian.

Try asking Graeme Payne if he has the build record for your car. I gave him my chassis number and he found the key number for my doors that way.
