Fuse Box Numbering

Hi all

My 411 Mk2 has 2 Fuse Boxes in the right wheel Arch. These two boxes contain 4 fuses each. The left hand box feeds various parts of the car when the ignition is on. The right hand box feeds the items that activate even when the ignition is off.

I have studied the owners manual and wiring diagrams but cannot ascertain which fuse services which unit in the car.

Does any one know which fuse is which ?

I realize I can pull the fuses out one at a time and look for the item that no longer works but I was hoping some one may alread have the answer.

I would, as part of this, be interested to know what amps each fuse should be.

Thank You

Peter Dowdle

Hi Peter,

I did it! I spend some time today jumping in and out of my 411 S5.

The fuses one my car are wired as following:

Rear Fuse Box (Top to bottom) - Power from ignition switch

1. Fuse = Reverse Lamp
2. Fuse = Cooling Fan Auto Relay
3. Fuse = Fuel Gauge/ Brake Warning Circuit
4. Fuse = Heater Motor
In-line Fuse= Cooling Fan manual Relay

Front Fuse Box - Power from Battery
1. Fuse = Interior Light
2. Fuse = Clock
3. Fuse = Cigar Lighter
4. Fuse = Radio
Inline Fuse= Heated Rear Screen

Loose Inline Fuse next to rear fuse box= Cooling Fan manual Relay supply

Loose Inline Fuse next to rear fuse box= Electric Windows

Inline fuse unter gear selector cover= Hazard Switch

Inline Fuse under steering wheel= Air conditioner

fuses

Thomas

Thank you so much .I was fearing I might not get an answer and would have to try and do what you did myself. Because of weakness in my legs and a back that is imobile it would have been an almost impossible task, To get to the fuse boxes and battery I have to put the car up on the hoist then I cant get into the cockpit to check what isnt working.

I am amazed that the owners manual has no mention of fuses at all and that the wiring diagram like wise is of little help.

Thanks again

Peter Dowdle
