Repairs and parts for Front Grilles 408 - 411
Maybe everyone knows about this already, but there's a small company based in Bedworth, near Coventry, who have developed the parts to make either complete grilles or just odd 'slats'. These would be for the front grilles of 408, 409, 410, and the earlier 411 series. They also have replacement aluminium bowls for the smaller full-beam lamps, but they could form almost any metal bit you might want. For various arcane reasons they have a complete 409 grille in stock, and it is very beautiful indeed.
I was over there to order an aluminium bonnet for my Classic Range Rover, as the steel one, although repairable, will never be properly nice again. The standard bonnets were steel, so with the reduced weight of the new one the turn-in will, no-doubt, be MUCH sharper !
