The site for this article popped up here first thing this morning...

There are a couple of nice photos of the interiors of 368/379 Kensington High Street and the interior of the Blenheim 3, otherwise it is much of a muchness with the other recent articles published.

Please don't misunderstand - these articles are definitely good PR for Bristol, and there is no doubt Mr. Silverton is wise to cooperate with the publications.

Undoubtedly, the pubs limit the space available for such stories, and the writer has to cram whatever he can into that space...but why do they continue to print the same unimaginative minutiae over and over again?

Where is the initiative and imagination on the part of the writers who keep writing their repetitive and aged anecdotes? When is one of these young men, none of whom seem to have read Christopher [corrected] Balfour's recent book, going to simply say, "Mr. Silverton, tell us what you want our readers to know, please." and let him run with it?

If the writer or the pub is afraid that the result would be that the company line dominates the story, where's the harm in that? It's a new story, and rehashing old stuff isn't the way to get it out.

Thank you, Dale, for posting the info. Lots of us never notice such articles, so it's another good reason to use this forum. Same old stuff in the article, but all good and positive for the Company.
