Can anybody advice on a supplier for an exhaust sytem for my 603?
I managed to salvage the two rear boxes with twin chrome pipes albeit they are different so will have to replace them or find a matching item to make a pair.
Do I really have to have these rather odd chrome tail pieces with the bottom cut outs?

Probably a good idea if you retain the exhaust tips. Exhaust is deflected downwards and away from rear of car. In our 410, we had exhaust seepage issues especially when windows were opened. I suspect venturi effect created by differing pressures in cabin would cause gases to be sucked past boot lid and into cabin. The exhaust design is most likely done this way for a reason.

Absolutely! They are unique to Bristol as far as I am aware so it would be a shame to get rid of them, and as John says they help with exhaust gas flow - which is why they were introduced in the first place.

I find them one of the more intriguing parts of my car...

Lovely, and a lovely sound emanates from them.

But, it's your car, and, of course, you will do as you will.

OK looks like originality wins out. As you can see the two tail piles I have are of different designs. So in theory I just need to match one.
