edit: I read Andy's words, but in the back of my mind I drive with RHD on the right side of the road here in Germany.

But in this case, Andy describes driving with RHD on the left side of the road. The left side of the vehicle is closest to the curb and the torsion bar labeled "Near" is correctly mounted.

Andy is correct. Near means "nearside" i.e. nearest to the curb. Off means "offside" i.e. furthest from the kerb - both applicable to RHD cars driving on the left side of the road. The torsion bars are therefore correctly mounted.
