Electrical assistance

Hi all, I am an Auto Electrician who worked at the Filton factory until march. If I can be of any help with any electrical/electronic aspects of Bristols I would be more than happy to oblige. :)

Welcome Sparky very original.
I am planning to fit flashing indicators to my 401 utilizing the reversing lights and the fog lamps. Could you supply a wiring diagram in order to achieve this 9 I would still wish to have the semaphores withing the vehicle. You may wish to contact me off line to discuss. Regards Mike Say

Alas, this would not be legal (white light to the rear and both should be 21W), fortunately you can still do something as this is a pre-1954 car (and this is what I did on my R-type Bentley).

You are allowed to use the front sidelights and the rear stop lights. You will require a new flasher unit, of course and some double filament bulbs to the front sidelights.

George
