Here's the reply from Eric Brumenil who ran both 3069 and 3009 in the Mille Miglia:
Hi Bill Normally only the Bolide model can participate to the MM but one time a Deluxe made it There is no restriction except that the limit is 1957 Hope this helps Kind regards Eric |

That is a great help. I have also made an inquiry directly to the MM organization for their input. But according to other sources a 56 and a 57 have run in the event.
I will keep updating this info as I get it. But I think it is finally safe to say that yes - an Arnolt Bristol Boldie can race in the Mille Miglia. And yes Geoff - you are getting old |

Kelly ,
Maybe I am aging a bit (I'm in the mid 60's ) but unfortunately I'm still one of the younger Bristol owners , certainly in Australia. But I still stand by my earlier statement the 400 would be a better car to do a MM than a Arnolt. Young Geoff |
