What Bolide Means

Wow.. I just found this little nugget of information while reading about the meteor over Michigan:

A bolide, also known as a fireball, is a special type of meteor that explodes in a bright terminal flash.

Who knew?

Doesn't sound like a good name for a car.

Maybe instead of being called Arnolt-Bristols they should just be called Bolides. That would work given their history;)

Hi.

"Bolide" in French means: a very fast car, or race car. very much suited to the Arnolt-Bristol.

Thank you for that tidbit Clehuy. It is nice to have you on the forum. I forwarded your posting about your Facebook page to an Arnolt-Bristol coupe owner. Hopefully you will hear from him.

Thanks! Would be great to have AB owners join the Scaglione facebook group! Wow, the owner of one of the rare coupe, it would be nice too!

Cheers.
