100D racing engine for sale (again)

Same engine was offered last year. The current ebay listing is exactly the same as the earlier one. It's from J. Bradburn so I guess we shouldn't be surprised at the price. I'd like to have it for my Arnolt, but not for that price. I could get a Ferrari V12 for about 1/3 of that.

Bristol engine for sale

I bought my first Bristol in 1971 and ever since then Ive noticed you can buy a running 2 litre for the same price as is asked for a secondhand engine. (admittedly a 100 D2 isn't quite typical of what you might find under the bonnet...)
Thats why there are so many Bristols around without engines.

Bristols without engines

I sure would like to find one that had been raped of its engine, but it seems the only ones suffering that fate are the straight sixes. Finding a 408 and forward woud be much harder, whatwith the use of the small Chrysler V-8. These seem to hold together, and replacement engines are very easy to source. As for myself, originality is not a big issue, and I would much sooner have a running car, regardless of whose engine powered it.
