Eric, Thank you for that, the terms I used are idioms not literal definitions. Perhaps that is the problem here all along. I have no problems whatever, except that I don't like seeing someone behaving vindictively.

I note that you are accusing me of 'hatred'. I think it indicates the level of hyperbole you apply to put your point over. Hatred is a very nasty term in english, perhaps you might consider withdrawing that remark and apologising for using it.

Regards

Paul

Eric, if you can afford an Arnolt, you can afford a lawyer, and I would especially recommend one before setting off on a vindictive campaign. I have tried helping you avoid these pitfalls (for free) however there seems little point

Your quote comes up on google translate as "The bourgeois are like pigs - The more things get old, it becomes more con" Clearly this makes no sense in a literal English translation, and neatly illustrates the problems that can arise from a language barrier. What you may understand in French is not what I read in English. And vice versa. If I were being charitable I would say you just don't understand what you are saying in English.

I have pointed out that you have every right to make a claim, and there is a proper forum in which to do it, which is not the internet. In fact, everyone is telling you the same thing. You are clearly a very intelligent man or else you would not be where you are, however as we Irish would say 'you have lost your head altogether'. I would get this thread deleted as well, take a few days out to reflect on things and then come back to it.

Whilst I sit here in sunny Spain it occurred to me that the man who conceived the car was Wacky Arnold.
Appropriate I think in the present context!

Wacky Arnolt , sorry!

GREG 29-10-10 03:48 PM

Careful Nick, I suggested something Wacky was going on with Eric and had my post deleted !, although Rubbond got away with calling him a nutter !

The main problem Eric seems to have, apart from a broken car, is paranoia. As far as I can see, everyone that was trying to help or sympathise with him were perceived to be attacking him. He then responds with his own brand of insults !

All a bit pointless really when you don't understand what you are saying or what is being said (fully) ?

GREG 29-10-10 04:11 PM

Paul,

In answer to your earlier question - sorry, I can't remember what ABBA's first number one record was !

Was it "The winner takes it all " ?

Nothing esle to add ?

I didn't come here for a mental control

But as you are not able to answer something clever on my mechanical problems
you have only such argument to post .
Thank you for caring about my mental health

Geoff.

Short answer = Yes. And I have no complaints. They do what they are supposed to do... work and not deteriorate, although the 411 has been a hanger queen ever since I bought them.

Just to try to put an end to this thread that is getting increasingly

Paul, the next thing is you being pursued for incorrect legal advice!
Nobody has been found liable for the sweeping snow nonsense. Second, your
analysis of the libel laws looks a bit dodgy. Incidentally, look at Trip
Advisor: this is a complicated area of law. For now
, I can`t see that Eric is at all liable for anything ... even if his
complaints are wrong. P

I bought some for my 407, he does two types, one for the early cars and the more complex one for the later cars.
They were lighter than the originals but are now two years old and look as good as new, even after this years salt.

If you just leave your snow untouched and someone falls then that is their problem alone, you are not liable. Moderating blogs works the same way which is why you either don't moderate at all in which case you get spammed by nutcases and the real users fade away or you moderate pretty heavily to avoid any action, libel is the least of your worries as you can be held liable for racist, homophobic or religious hatred quite easily and these are criminal rather than civil issues.

Paul

Very interesting. In the states you'll lose in a liability suit if you leave your walk/doorstep unswept and someone, postman, whomever, falls and sues. It's your property, hence your obligation to keep it safe. Not a national law, of course, but that's the way state courts and juries work here now.

Hi Peter, happily I am not a lawyer. I picked the snow illustration it is well know and demonstrates the principle, I am not sure I would be happy with a lawyer who told me I could say anything I liked irrespective of the facts on the internet with impunity however.

In the end I suppose it falls to each of us to put our point of view on this one. I am getting a bit bored with it now.

Monday night -- Essen - Tuesday - Amsterdam

See how much booze and fags can fit into a bling Bristol -- Not to mention the smuggling compartments in the front wings. ! Let me know if you need anything bringing over. 603 bits galore ! or Land Rover stuff.

I can return your ABBA Gold collection and ABBA lycra jump suit !

I may even come in the 411 S1 - just back from paint and stunning !

Sadly Beaufighter has turbo problems -- I would do a blog on the idiot that tampered with it but sadly it was me ! Should have it back together tomorrow if I keep off the computer !!

Be afraid :-)

don't bring the lycra jump suit, you might prove far too
popular in some parts of Amsterdam!

Paul, you allude to information that would persuade the rest of us to discount Eric's story, so why not share it with us?

Or are you just making assumptions that there must be another side to it which would excuse all the problems Eric has encountered?

All this chopping and changing from topic to topic will be causing Eric's
head to spin like Professor ....?.. on the cover of Les Boules D'or.
ABBA did win the Eurovision song contest with Waterloo, and I knew that (80%
sure) without taking recourse to Wikipeadia, which I use more often than my
own brain now, if my computer is working. Just waiting for it to come out in
print.
The song of course refers to Napoleon getting well beaten in Belgium.
Finally, I deny categorically that I had suggested Eric was a nutter.
I had merely said to him "In my opinion you are a complete nutter", which of
course is totally different, and has been taken entirely out of context
here.
Yours,
Rubbond.

You are wrong one more time Paul
Your problem is that you are doing all your best to discredit me
Because you can't prove that all the techincal problem I have are not true as they are ,
you think it's clever to write i am mad , jihadist ( not sure it's you who wrote this ) etc

This is ridiculous

I have asked Kevin to remove threads because I have received a letter from T S and as I always did it in the past , I was ok to give him a fifth chance .

I have nothing against the Bristol Ltd I just want to drive my car
2010 was a complete disaster
Have you already spent more than £70000 on the restoration of a car ?
for nothing !
I think when you are honest that it is possible to call a cat a cat

Don't you think you need to be controlled by a specialist ?

Eric,

Too far. I have not insulted you or commented on your state of mind.

Strange that you omitted to tell everyone that you Toby Silverton had in fact agreed to continue working to resolve your issues, whilst instead you continue to fight on here. I think this raises questions about your integrity.
