603 door lock knob broken...
1 Attachment(s)
Attachment 491
This driver side door lock knob keeps falling off...appears that it might be broken in the recessed area, but I can't say for sure. Any one have one for sale? Any suggestions as to make this stay on, short of glueing? |
Small sprung strip of metal missing - compare with the other side.

I have a spare

Thanks, Phillip and Greg.
I was trying to avoid pulling the passenger side knob, to avoid creating problems there. I think this one was broken when the arm rest was taken off for re-upholstering. I was thinking of using some sort of tacky material to stick it on with. Greg, you interested in selling me your extra? I can send you a Barclays Bank check to cover the cost and shipping, if you are. Lou. |
I've worked out a solution, literally, in every sense of the word(s), a stop-gap, using some tacky putty my wife uses to hang her miniatures paintings on a wall. Holds things very well, releases immediately when needs must. Doesn't dry out.
No need for another knob, but thanks. |
I have two spare ones that have dug out from the pile of bits and bobs. Let me know if you need one when the putty fails :-)
|
Sho will; thanks.
