I am getting used to mine now. for me the issue...

I am getting used to mine now.
for me the issue was one of perception, as I had not driven a Bristol previously

I will probably do the front over the winter

Hi

my 406 often smells of petrol and one of the breather pipes was damp with petrol

tank wasn't full and it had been several days since fuel was added

any ideas

I fitted the m as delivered , but I think they are a little hard so at some point will need to take them off and adjust , probably this winter

managed to get some jaguar units which have the same hinged mounting but were a little short to the centre hook

so modified them and re-trimmed them, not concours but functional

took your ideas and fed water in via the main filler, the inner tube and the drain plug all worked as you said they should
