handbook specification

The handbook for my 1963 407 (same brakes I believe) specified the old ratings SAE 70R1 or SAE 70R3, & as Ronald says this equates to contemporary DOT3 or DOT4 I believe.

I converted my 407 to negative earth last year to accommodate a new starter motor (thanks to Greg and Dave for helping me source that) and i simply disconnected the positive earth rev counter...
