Hi,
where can I find the motor-number? I have looked all over the crankcase, but nothing found... (only no. of cylinder-head)

Klaus,
The Engine number is usually stamped in the following places on all 6 cylinder engines .

Block - on a horizontal section above and inward of the top starter motor fixing bolt hole on the right hand side of the block.
Often it is covered in oil & dirt .

Head - on the two bosses on the left hand side , one toward the front and one toward the rear ,

Distributor Tower - about half way up the tower on a bulge that houses the tacho drive pinion.

Rocker Cover - on a Brass Plate riveted to a Rocker cover

If the block is not stamped , it could be a replacement block

Hi Geoff,

thank you for information round half the world!
I have found motor-number - under a lot of paint and mud.
Great - now I can start applying for FIVA-ID-Card.
