Default 401 bonnet stay

Just realised that there is a bonnet stay (according to spare parts manual) The 'guide' which comes off the bulkhead is in place and has been acting as a stay but apparently there is another stay which I can understand how it might work but cant see where it would attach at the lower end.
The actual stay did not come with the car so I had no idea it was missing until now.
Any thoughts?

Default 40 Bonnet

Post a picture - might help? Mine just opened bilaterally. Brilliant catch mechanism, by the way. There is slight negative pressure (uplift) over the rear of the bonnet visible in the windtunnel photos the Heritage Trust has. So the bonnet needs to be securely fastened flush.
My Touring 401 by the way was much less well engineered beneath its advanced, Milano crafted skin, with a pair of unsophisticated curved hooks either side to hold the hinged bonnet down, hence my losing the bonnet one night long ago on the M4, at 5000 rpm in 4th gear.
Dont go there...

Default As I Thought/hoped

Thanks for replies. The picture Geoff posted is what I have, the picture in the parts manual must be for the 400
