403 Drophead Conversion
I wonder if anyone remembers a Bristol 403 that had been converted to a drophead. I saw a black and white photo of the car sometime in the Seventies and believed the vehicle was located somewhere in North Yorkshire at that time. In the photo the car appeared light in colour. Anyone identify it?

Ron,
There have been a number of Aerodynes converted to drophead or roadster configuration . The ones I know of are 401 chassis 917 Roadster style 403 chassis 1324 with 405 DH style body and V8 mechanicals 403 chassis 1348 403 chassis 1460 See attached photos . Is one of those the one you are referring to Geoff |

403 Drophead
My memory is faded, but I seem to think that much of the rear body and boot had been retained. I did not see the car with the roof down but I imagine that it resembled a long TARGA top that finished just before the rear view window. But it was along time ago. It did not resemble a 402, as your examples portray. Thanks for your efforts though.
