Does anyone have a reference for Heather Grey; or a sample?

"Heather Grey" is a relatively Dark Grey .

This colour BCL used from late 400's to at least the 408's but possibly later .
Most had a Metallic finish ,except the 403 & 404 could be either Metallic or Plain finish .

406 Heather Grey (most likely Metallic) had a code number 222-2031

408 Heather Grey(Metallic) has a code number "M606 " but I don't know what that refers to or can be cross referenced against .

Someone else on the Forum might be able to cross reference them for you .

There was an original colour swatch advertised recently on ebayUK I think along with a 403 brochure. Quite by accident it shows a sample (not in the best condition) of Heather grey, which ties in with Geoff D's description.

I’ve had a look. The swatches would be very helpful but the vendor is asking £285! The pictures confirm though that it’s an ICI colour code. I haven’t found a way yet of converting that into a modern paint reference. Can anyone help with that?
