Where is it now? 406
Can anyone help trace my late father's 406?
Registration JTS 138 if I remember correctly. 2 tone metallic green with a mid to dark green body and silver or very light green roof. My mother remembers that when it was sold in the mid 1970s it was bound for a museum in Dundee. No DVLA record for this registration and unfortunately I have no record of the chassis number. |

David C ,
Your fathers 406 "JTS138" is chassis# 406/5226 . c1970 was serviced by BCL and the owner was D.C.Stone of Tetbury, Glos. c1990 it was believed to still be in the Dundee Museum . I don't have any other details about this car . Do you have any photos of it ?? I suggest you contact the museum it could still be there. What was your fathers name and location during his ownership , Geoff |

Thank you, Geoff.
No mention of Mr Stone in the 1970 BOC membership list but Gloucestershire makes sense as my father was in South Wales between 1974 and 1976 when he owned the car. I remember the 406 being in really good condition when it was sold. I hope it has been looked after. A shame not to be registered for use on the road for so many years. |

The registration ends in TS which is a Tayside ( Dundee) registered car.
This is the museum link https://www.dmoft.co.uk/ Also Morris Leslie auctioneers( near Dundee) have sold a few Bristols over the last few years so they may be worth contacting. In case your wondering - I live locally to Dundee. |
