Can you see what's stopping it?
All gauges now back in the 406 so safe to apply power for the first time. All usual precautions starting a long term stored car that is new to me.
Starter engaged nicely and the engine ran briefly but would only run for very short periods. After checking carburettor jets and floats I took the cap off the distributor. See picture. What I can't work out is how it ran at all. Someone put effort into that little cable to short out the condenser even if they did use a screw that was too long to tighten it down... http://www.bristolcars.info/forums/a...1&d=1712425378 |
