Default Bristol, Not original engine

Hi all -

"There was a 401 or 403 for sale last year in the USA with a Ford
6cyl engine. They virtually give these away, so a relatively inexpensive
transplant. "

I recall the Bristol with the Ford Falcon engine sold eventually for
more than $30,000 US. Here's an earlier story:

Way too much, in my opinion!

Bob

Bob,

yes I agree ,

a 401 like that in Australia might bring A$10,000 (about US$9,000 or
GBP5,000) if the owner was lucky.I was very suprised it sold!!

There has been a 400 with Holden/GM 3 litre 6 cylinder engine & auto box for
sale for about 3 years over here, the price has been dropping from A$17,000
to 12,000
It would cost about $15,000 - $20,000 to bring the car back to original
before a full restoration was started.

There are other 400's & 401's needing restoration in Australia that are
complete rust free straight cars that are worth about A$20,000.
Regards
Geoff
