Default Aluminium welding

"I wish that I could TIG weld. Only done MIG on thick sheet."

A years ago, I watched the "artisan" who did most of the aluminum
work on my Frazer Nash gas weld (nearly an open flame, old technique)
an aluminum butt joint about 24" long on another project. The bead
looked like it came from a machine.
