Default removing rear axle in 409

After reading these threads:

http://www.bristolcars.info/forums/8...n-removal.html

I'm wondering if I first have to release the tension in the two torsion bars. Any assistance appreciated.

Axle and torsion bars out. Body and chassis are stripped. Now comes the fun part.
