![]() £36.00 plus VAT, but at least I know it is the right one.
When I asked a Triumph specialist he said that his only had one cable to it. So I left it, he was asking £28.00 I thought better safe than sorry, after all Martin supplies them to Bristol cars, he also supplies them with glass he says! Thank again fot all your help. Nick |

Nick, can you take a nice close up photo (or 2) of your valve before you fit to the car and post them here (or send them to me) and we shall see if we can identify it. It could of course be unique to the Bristol 407. Kevin PS. large photos. |

![]() Hi Kevin,
* I did try that route as I pointed out in my first mailing, the Ebay one that is but the trouble was the demist controls. I have not yet received the part but when I do*I will take part numbers and photograph, a bigger size as a luddite, what is the next size 640x640 ? * It should fit a 408 and at a guess a 409. * Nick * * Nick Challacombe. I thought we are talking about 407 heater valves! Has he bought some of those from ACCS as well? Kevin |

![]() No Kevin,
Its just that my posting implied that ACCS supplied some heated 411 screens to BCS. I was asked to clarify the situation, as an update Martin Barnes at ACCS could not find the 407 heater valve and sent me one to modify. Since then he has located the 407 valve but I have yet to receive it. When it arrives I will send you the 'photo's. Nick |

![]() Hi Richard, Not completely certain but UK eBay item 290326979175 for
a Sunbeam Alpine looks pretty close. I'm looking at the fitting to the heater matrix, which is the O-ring type with flange, position of control cable and the other water connection. The Sunbeam one (and all others advertised) do however have a pressed steel cover on the control cable side rather than the original die cast version, maybe when sprayed black it will look OK. Otherwise I might try and fix the original die cast cover to the new valve as that part of mine is OK, it's the other side that has corroded away. Confirmation later when my sister in UK procures it and ships it to NZ... Further to earlier posts regarding the limiting straps on the rear axle of the 405 and other 2 litres.... I used some similar width tie down strapping rated at 1 ton, cut to length, after a few trips in the NZ mud I'm sure they will look fairly original... Stuart |

![]() Hi all,
In my thanks to all who helped me with the heater valve, I said that ACCS supplied glass to Bristol cars. Toby Silverton has spoken to me and said that he had indeed had a couple of screen from ACCS to cover a shortfall but that was all. I hope that clarifies the situation. Toby S says it is his intention to hold all parts for every Bristol ever made. Nick |
