I haven't noticed it myself. But I can assure you that a few seconds after a post is made on site I can see the email notifications going out from the mail server.

Looks like my message actually took something like 24 hours
to get back to me.

So somewhere between nsau.net and my mail server there is
a serious (and spurious) delay loop.

I'm sorry Julf but I cannot be responsible what happens to mail once it leaves my server.

You of all people should be able to interpret the SMTP headers and see where the delay is if you are really that bothered by it

On the subject of language.
"Crap" is surely much worse than "not very good"?
And "there is lots of them", closes the discussion I think.
Cutting the roof off a decent car is worse than false, bogus, faked.
Back to cooking my Irish stew now. You have to stir things after all.

Thanks for the help Rubbond. I should be more careful with the language Police at large ! I will be spelling "grammar" wrong next at this rate.

I wouldn't consider chopping the roof of a decent car. I was making a suggestion of what to do with a not so decent car.

Maybe it is easier for some to be helpful than be a critic.

It was all tounge in cheek, but yes, I am very much a critic.
If you can identify what is wrong, you can then fix it!
And yes, even I have spelled "grammar" incorrectly in the past.

Good point.

It is my Father in law that gave himself the title of Language Police. He is a wonderful man but the rules and evolution of the English language is something we never agree on , probably as he is a genuine polyglot and makes Stephen Fry look illiterate and I seem to struggle. Mind you, he can't change a plug or the oil in his car and I have rebuilt loads of motorbikes.

I will keep my tounge in cheek too
