Default 411 Rear Brake Caliper & Discs

Hello dears,

Anyone know the best way to remove the rear calipers - hubs off or remove rear bottom shock mount. Also does anyone know what else the rear discs fit or have a part number?

Hope to hear from you soon,

CAss.

On my 408 [and most cars are similar], Chock the front wheels, loosen by
one turn the wheel nuts. Jack up the rear and install axle stands.
release the hand brake, remove the wheels. There are two bolts behind the
brake caliper, using either a socket or a ring spanner, slacken these off.
Clamp the flexible pipe to the rear axle and remove the brake pipes from
the calipers Remove the bolts and remove the calipers. Remove the hand brake
cables.
Hope this assists.
David.

Hi David,

Thank you for your helpful advice. The problem is with the 411 that the lower shock mount obscures the rear caliper bolts. This precludes use of a ratchet & even a ball joint extension to loosen the bolts and even in using a ring spanner the withdrawal of the loosened bolts may not be possible with the lower shox mount in place.

Kindest regards,

Cassian
