Cool 408 Carbs

After 2 years in Poland my 408 is back on the road. The body of the car is in a better than new condition now. The guys in Poland did an excellent job for small money. Will post some pics.

But after two years my carburettor is not willing to work correctly. I think it might be a clever idea to buy a new one than to overhaul the old one. It seems new Edelbrock carbs are quite cheap - 300 - 500 €
No my question - should I take the same type of carb again or are there carbs which might fit better? Any experience?
Thanks Hans
