I believe Brabazon spent well over 2000 hours on it, it is a complete nut and bolt job done exactly as it left the factory, right down to the tyre specification. It would be really interesting to see exactly how a 410 handled on delivery day. I would think this has been a loss leader for them to show what they can do, It will be a real bargain for someone as the price of the car probably just about covers the labour excluding the cost of the original car or any of the parts that went into it.
The crash referred to was Sir George White's 1969 accident which resulted in him retiring from Bristol Cars. Effectively this marked the end of an era at BCL. The later 603 and 412 were the first all new designs without Sir Georges input.
