Default Ex-Sir George White Bristol 410

Brabazon Motors have finished the restoration of the very special 410.

Ive put some pics up in the gallery here: Bristol Cars - Owners and Enthusiasts Forum - Kit Kat's Album: Ex-Sir George White Bristol 410

Looks like the journalists have been out for a spin:

What a superb restoration, the car is now advertised on the carandclassic website for around £118,000 it appears from the text that it may have been restored from a damaged state, if so this would probably been the result of damged sustained in the 80's when owned by a lawyer in london, when if memory serves me right it was involved in a crash on the M4 and ended up in a college workshop. I used to see the car at BOC meeting in Sussex at that time and it is far far nicer now that it was then. I wish I could afford to send them my 410 for restoration!

What a stunning car ! I think it's a bargain too, as it's a massive amount of work to get it to that standard.

I believe Brabazon spent well over 2000 hours on it, it is a complete nut and bolt job done exactly as it left the factory, right down to the tyre specification. It would be really interesting to see exactly how a 410 handled on delivery day. I would think this has been a loss leader for them to show what they can do, It will be a real bargain for someone as the price of the car probably just about covers the labour excluding the cost of the original car or any of the parts that went into it.

The crash referred to was Sir George White's 1969 accident which resulted in him retiring from Bristol Cars. Effectively this marked the end of an era at BCL. The later 603 and 412 were the first all new designs without Sir Georges input.

An absolute beauty. If I could somehow persuade my employer to give me six years wages upfront it would be outside my house.
