BOC Heritage Trust meeting - 26/4/15, mark your diaries
Dear Supporters
The Heritage Trust is running another of its popular lecture days on Drive it Day, Sunday April 26th at Bicester Heritage. This is an all day event with time to wander round the hangars then three erudite speakers through the afternoon. Do have a look at the Bicester Heritage Website - a fascinating RAF station kept in timewarp condition, and very respectfully converted to be a resource for the classic car movement as well as vintage planes. We will have, as usual, three erudite speakers and hope to combine an element of the aeronautical engineering heritage of our Bristols with accounts of both spannering and racing Bristols from Spencer Lane-Jones and Warwick Banks. Brunch is available at Scrambles cafe and local pubs provide accommodation and decent grub as well. Or bring a picnic if the weather is fine. It is quite possible that cake may be provided, and Juniors will be half price. Such Juniors may also be able to drive a real Bristol Car, if they are big enough to see over the dashboard. More details anon; this is just to alert you to mark your diaries. With Best wishes Stefan Cembrowicz |
