This is my 1962 Bristol 407 taken 8 years ago sometime after I first acquired it in 1999. Many detail improvements have been made to bring it back to factory original. The only alterations that have been to original spec are electric fuel pump located in the drivers side wing, matching period external mirrors, dual contact distributor and Michelin X radial tyres. On a recent 1200 mile trip to the Louwerman Museum in Holland she averaged 19.1 MPG, that .1 is very important.! She went round Le Mans this year 2008 at Classic Le Mans and pulled an indicated 5,500 rpm on the shortened bits of the Mulsanne straight.
She is a wonderful car, no overheating problems despite the badge bar and has won several concours event in including a BOC Owners concours award in 2002 the " Ralph Hewitt Trophy". The car has only covered 94,000 miles since new and has a full documented history from 1962. The colour is Rolls Royce Regal Red and the upholstery is Magnolia. It is run on Shell Formula One Petrol and has had no unleaded conversion carried out, I have done 20,000 miles in it on unleaded petrol with no problems.
