Since we've covered all the ways I'm wrong and going to lose, let's play Trent wins for a while. Since the Indy Star article I've found lots of new information. Shipping records, old registries, correspondence from other enthusiasts, and so on. Obviously this broker wouldn't have access to my personal documents from Dad but if he was truly interested in finding history on the car isn't it safe to say he could uncover the same info I have found?
Or if this info wasn't in his favor, decided to ignore ? |

I would like to try to clear up a few misconceptions. First of all, there isn't an Arnolt-Bristol Club, just an informal group of owners and enthusiasts. We have no officers, no structure, no dues, and no publications. We do have a former owner in our group who maintains a registry on line.
The recent rally was an informal event, and included a number of other collector cars in addition to 6 Arnolt-Bristols. Someone seems to have expected media coverage, but this was just a group of enthusiasts gathering to drive and enjoy their cars. The purpose was not to try to make a spectacle for the media, nor was this an underground event. Please note in this regard that the Arnolt-Bristol was given the honor of leading the race car parade last year at the Lime Rock Historic Festival and had plenty of coverage, including media coverage by the "Chasing Classic Cars" team. Wayne Carini was there and even brought one of his Arnolt-Bristols. And yes, 3038 was there, so the record indicates that we are not adverse to publicity, regardless of what the OP believes. |

My comment was intended as clarification for all the posters in this thread, not just yourself. It seems that you are a person who needs to always have the last word, and it appears that the rest of the audience has left the building, so continue on as you wish. |

In the interest of AB history we have to take the bad with the good. Regardless of people's opinion of me, the facts remain. What happened with 3038 over the years is theft fraud and an example of dirty dealings in the car world. I do have documentation to back up my dad's end of the story and to back up when my effort to retrieve the car started. I'm happy to share with any of you privately by email some of what I have but will not post the whole story publicly until details are complete. The car was considered stolen, the title held by my family, and has been purchased by a broker with knowledge of that history.
