Default Channel 4 Poll

There is a poll of four ages of British cars on

http://www.channel4.com/4car/fun/pol...cars-vote.html

and Bristol is available in two of the categories

It says "We'll announce the winner on Friday 22 August 2008. "

Unfortunately Bristol isn't available as a choice in the era when they made their best car - 1970 - 1989 (the 411 S5).

Can't be a very serious listing - I see they have the Triumph TR6, TR4 and
GT6 all in the wrong decenia.

Anyone notice the old Bristol's enthusiast site had a political side copy
from people like Hugo, whereas the new one is far less interesting.

To throw a cat among the chickens, anyone want to comment on

I particularly like the sits vac ad for Bentley that is running in the right
hand side of the article (in my window anyway). "Engineers. Attractive salary.
Lease car and benefits." Perhaps offering Continentals as fleet cars might solve
the (temporary) absence of billionaire Bentley drivers in the near future?

Thanks to member 'geo' for sharing the link to the Channel 4 poll.

I thought the choices were rather uninspired. I think many individuals will vote for cars that hold the most nostalgia. I can think of a few cars that deserve recognition because they were significant in some way.

I voted for the Blenheim because it upholds Bristol values in the present. And of course, because I am nostalgic for the day when I saw one of the beasts minding its own business in the pit lane at Castle Combe racing circuit, several years ago...
