401 to be auctioned in Missouri
Hi all -
On April 17-18, in Branson, Missouri: "Bristol made the transition from aircraft manufacturing after World War II to building some of the most unusual and highly engineered cars of the early postwar world. To convert their aerodynamic knowledge into automotive reality Bristol licensed the superleggera construction system from Italian carrozzeria Touring, giving the 401 lightweight aluminum coachwork. Bristol’s attention to detail is evident in such things as the streamlined pushbutton releases for opening panes among many other ingenious details. This Bristol 401 is a California car that has been fitted with a Ford Falcon six cylinder engine and twin SU carburetors." http://www.bransonauction.com/carlis...ter2=&offset=0 Or here's a Phantom II I saw in New Zealand, looking for offers. It's very nice! http://leitchmotorsport.com/RR-PII.htm Bob |
