1 pair - New Armstrong shocks/dampers
Nice and new in old original boxes.
An extra pair came with this 406 project. They may or may not be perfect for a 406, although they may fit another model. Armstrong part number 62-2530. 13.5 inches long when compressed. 21 inches long when extended. Therefore I took pictures of both positions on a tape measure. A full set of American made gas shocks also came with it. I opted to install the gas shocks. Well, just tried and failed to upload the images. Meanwhile, text, email or message me for them. That info is in my membership file. Cheers, Kurt Last edited by aerokurt; 14-08-24 at 07:15 PM. |

Hi Geoff,
The top is a pin, the bottom is an eye hole. They would be fronts only on a 406, as the rears are very much longer. These were almost the same size as the gas shocks I opted to put up front. As it was, they may have been correct for this 406, since the ones I put on needed a half inch spacer under the upper mounting so that the pin would not protrude too much. If I recall correctly, the Armstrong might have been the half inch shorter that I needed to correct for with the American made gas shocks. Inasmuch as I had a complete set of those, which came in the boot of the car, installed them. |
