Yet another question this time about a bonnet badge
As the title says another question I'm afraid,
Although I've said bonnet badge I'm actually refering to the circular badge on the slam panel just in front of the bonnet. The badge is brass and shows no clear sign of previous plating, But being as it's over 60 years old I don't know if it would have been plated with something like nickel or chrome or were they just left as brass. If it was plated originally I can get it re plated but would prefer to keep it's appearance original and correct. Many thanks Steve |

Front badge ahead of bonnet opening
Hi, mine was nearly rubbed through with exuberant polishing and when I had the car resprayed 12 years ago it looked odd so I bought a new one from Bristol. I kept the old one just in case. I did not rechrome the bumpers though as the sort of crazing looked like patina to suit its age, 1962.

Bonnet badge
Sorry, should have made myself clear, yes it was chromed and straight from the Bristol spares dept. I would think Graham Payne would have them in stock, probably cheaper than rechroming.
