Default Wanted - 406 rear view mirror

Does anyone have a rear view for a 406 or have any idea where I can find one? I have tried Graeme Payne and SLJ.

Default Rear View Mirror

Hi again, Try Holdens or a Jaguar spares specialist.
Holdens, www.holden.co.uk
Page 189 in the catalogue, they have quite a few dash mounted one which are what we have but mounted upside down!

Thank you, Nick.

The inevitable follow up question is whether you can supply dimensions of mirror and its support, please?

Default 406 rear view mirror

Hi David, I do not know what type is original fitment but I do have a Lucas 594 in case of any use to you. These mirrors were fitted to a wide variety of cars in period but don't know of specific Bristol use.
Kind regards,
Chris.

ps the system is now allowing me to attach photos so let me have your email address, if of interest, and I'll send them that way.

Thank you, Chris. Research shows that the 594 is more than 8" wide, so I don't think it will fit between the sun visors. I will check when my son returns with the 406.

Default 406 rear view mirror,

Chris, have you asked Holdens? They are fairly used to Bristol's, the rear-view mirror was used on a variety of cars, they were not made just for Bristol's, they are a stock item, Bristol chose to roof mount and dash mount mirror.

I will check with Holdens as soon as I have the dimensions. It will be ideal to have measurements of the type used by the factory, otherwise I will find something that fits between the sun visors without getting knocked askew if they are used - as is the current situation.
