Default Wanted: 405 Rear Bumper And Exhaust Manifolds

Looking for a 405 rear bumper and a pair of 3 branch exhaust manifolds.

Did any stainless steel bumper sets get made for the 405 a few years back?
Regards,
Chris.

Chris high,
I have both manifolds attached to stainless steel exhaust pipework without the silencer. These were ex 406 but assuming will be OK for the 405.
Regards Stewart.

Chris,
Group Harrington were the company that were making the stainless steel bumpers you were probably thinking about and they still make sets of bumpers for the 401/403, 406, 411's and 603 but not the 405. I did speak to them about the latter some years ago when they started selling them direct again but they were not interested in doing any additional Bristols as they were still smarting a bit from the previous arrangements with a former uk supplier. That was some years ago so it might be worth trying them again. They would need a set to copy. Quality of their products are excellent I have a set of the blades and over riders ready for my 401 if it ever gets painted and I'll be fitting a set of their bumpers on a 603 fairly soon. I have them on an S2 and R Type Bentley as well.
Geoff.

Thanks Geoff, that's a good option if I can't find a good 2nd hand rear (I have just bought a front one in N. Ireland off ebay). The ones on the car are too badly pitted to be worth the expense of rectification, so could be sent to them and discarded afterwards.
In fact I bought a pair of their front quarter bumpers for my Aston some years ago. It was tricky to get them to fit, but at the factory bumpers had to be individually fettled, as the hand built bodies were never identical.
