Default Arnolt Bristol Lower Rad Hose

Our AB blew up its (possibly original) lower rad hose. Our car has a heater so the lower rad hose has a tee in it to feed the heater. I understand there were few Arnolts that came with heaters. I also understand this hose may also come on one or more of the Bristol 400 series cars. I've done considerable searching and have found no source. It would be much appreciated if someone could point us in a direction. We've temporarily bypassed the heater feed with a straight hose from the pump to the radiator but would like to find a permanent solution.

Thanks in advance for any help...

Dale

Dale,
If you cannot source an original spec hose, you can of course splice in a metal tee piece - I am sure that your local plumbing shop will have something suitable. I note that you drive an open top car in Alberta - I know why you want a high performance cockpit heater!

Regards,

Brett

Dale,
If the hose is the same as on the 401 - 405 series cars, then I bought one of these a year or so ago from BC. The hose is in black silicone and the fit on my engine was good. I believe Bristol's spares operation is still live and well so it might be worth a try.

Thanks Brett. There are metal tees available on eBay with beads rolled into the lips...

This will be our course of action if we cannot find the correct piece. The car was purchased from the original owner and is relatively unmolested so we'd like to keep it as original as possible. It shows only 15,000 miles on the odometer.

The car is part of a fairly large collection and is only driven on days where the heater is likely not going to be used. Having said that, the weather here can change quickly so having an operational heater is always a good thing. We haven't tried too hard, but we haven't been successful at making it run just yet. ...the heater, that is. The car runs just fine...

Thanks for the info. We will check with them...
